Help Sister to Sister International, Inc. in the mission of familiarizing young girls of color to the vast career opportunities available through STEAM Education. STEAM represents a shift from traditional education philosophy to a modern ideal which focuses on valuing the learning process as much as the results.

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math—a powerful combination of topics and techniques for educating our society. When it comes to art, it goes beyond aesthetics. The ‘A’ includes the liberal arts as well, meaning language arts,

social studies, physical arts, fine arts, and music.

We thank you in advance!

Cheryl Brannan, STSI founder and CEO stated that, “Sister to Sister International’s STEM Initiatives are aligned with President Obama’s goal to increase the graduation rates of Americans with degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  The US ranks 20thamong all nations in the category of 24-year-olds who earn degrees in natural science or engineering. Overall in the US,  girls of color are underrepresented in the fields of  STEM.  We have to reverse this low ranking trend ‘across the board’ if we are to make America more competitive globally, now and in the future.”

With your help STSI can expand our Annual STEM Camp and facilitate a robust year-round Academy for high school girls of color, that will support an increased number of college degrees earned in STEM fields by underrepresented groups, in the US – ultimately making us more competitive globally.

Help us reverse the trend and donate today!
